The 'Children Count' Early Childhood Fair was held at Brentwood Elementary School on April 4th, 2009, attracting about 120 families. Building on the Saanich Peninsula PlaySpaces map, we started to collect place based stories from young children, aged 3-7 years and their parents.
ES481: Landscape Reconstruction - Lessons in Applied Ethnoecological Research students presented the results of their Spring 2009 class projects on Monday 6 April 2009 in the Geography Department board room. The event was organized by instructor Brenda Beckwith and Resource Centre lead Ken Josephson.
Objectives:To process the data from the Squamish seniors community mapping workshop and create a paper map. The map will be designed to fit on a tabloid (11" x 17") sheet of paper. It will be monochromatic and double sided.
