Community Mosaic Project

Project Description:
Organize Mosaic Panels work details for the Creation, & Installation in SSMB Lobby, of a series of rectangular wood panels, filled with an artistic combination of concrete castings of plant material, student, faculty & staff hand, foot & face prints, & clay cylinders created from building excavation & fired by different methods.

Uni 201 - The Art of Place: Role of Community-based Art in Academia (2010)

This Uni 201 course, The Art of Place: Role of Community-based Art in Academia, is open to Graduates of Uni 101/102, and will be taught by Dr. Brenda Beckwith (UVic Environmental Studies) and Ken Josephson (UVic Geography), on Tuesdays, August 10 - 31, 2010, from 6:30 to 9 pm, in SS&M Building, Board Room B211/215.

GEOG 453/491 - Tools for Advanced Level Geography Course Projects (2008)

Synopsis: Professors Canessa and Burnett hoped for supports for teaching Coastal and Marine Resources II (453) and Indigenous Geographies (491) respectively. In past terms, students have conducted participatory mapping exercises as part of their final projects.
